Argentinean tango was born at the end of the 19th century in Argentina and Uruguay, in the popular neighborhoods of Buenos Aires and Montevideo.

While he is shunned by the good society in Argentina, the tango is exported to Paris in the 1920s where he meets a real success.

But this craze will not last and the tango is gradually becoming obsolete. In the 90s, the public rediscovers this dance with the European tour of an Argentine tango show. Then the tango is modernized through electronic music and it's back to the front of the stage.

Argentine tango music is generally slow and well marked. The basic step is to walk on the highlights of the music, but unlike the dances that existed before, the Argentinean tango is an improvisation dance, leaving the dancers the opportunity to play on the rhythm and perform movements. of legs.
